If you’re planning your own cocktail party or a few drinks with the girls one particular sunny afternoon, then you will probably be keen to learn how to make your own Strawberry Daiquiri. It’s pretty easy and should take less than 2 minutes to prepare.

For one cocktail serving you will need:

30ml Dark Rum

15ml Strawberry Liquor

1 tsp White Sugar

4 Fresh Strawberries (or frozen strawberries if not in season)

Lime Juice (about 2 limes will do the job nicely)

10 pieces of ice

A Blender

A teaspoon

A Chilled Martini shaped Cocktail glass

A straw

Shaken Not Stirred

Place the dark rum, strawberry liquor, white sugar, lime juice, strawberries and 5-10 pieces of ice into your blender.  If you are after a thicker drink, add more ice. Blend on high for around 20 seconds.

If you haven’t had time to chill your Martini Glass, a handy tip is to leave a further 5 pieces of ice in the empty cocktail glass while you are preparing your drink.

Drink Up!

Remove the ice from the Cocktail glass and pour your mixed daiquiri into the glass. It will be nice and thick, so you will need a teaspoon to help spoon the mixture into the glass. Jazz your glass up a bit by adding a strawberry and some fresh mint. Don’t forget your straw. Enjoy!
